MISSION AND VISION
​The mission and vision for the Ontario Business Users Group (OBUG) are not yet finalized and should be considered flexible at this stage. The were initially drafted to provide a compass and direction for our early meetings and conversations. Once an executive committee is established, these guiding statements will be defined collaboratively. All members will be given the opportunity to contribute input and feedback to ensure that the mission and vision reflect the collective goals and values of the group.
Mission
To empower Ontario’s post-secondary institutions using Ellucian systems by fostering a collaborative community that shares knowledge, innovates business processes, and champions best practices across functional areas—including Admissions and Recruitment; Enrolment, Records and Scheduling; Financial Services, Aid and Awards; Frontline Student Services; Academic Advising; Finance; and Human Resources. Through regular dialogue, resource sharing, and coordinated advocacy, OBUG enhances operational effectiveness and student service excellence.
Vision
A unified and proactive community of Ontario colleges and universities that lead in the strategic use of Ellucian solutions, driving system improvements and elevating the learner experience through seamless, efficient, and learner-centered processes.
